Camping at Cooper’s Lake

The area of the campground where we conduct the Rendezvous does not have specifically designated campsites, but rather a significant number of both wooded and “open” (i.e. flat, grassy field) acres immediately adjacent. It is more of a “group camping” situation, and as such camping reservations beforehand are not really necessary. We can accommodate a LOT of folks! If you do not require electric hook-up, then all you have to do is simply arrive. Please do check in at the campground store first on your way in – it’s a large building on your right just around the “circle” as you enter. There will be a Rendezvous sign to help in pointing it out. Should the store be closed when you arrive, after dark say, just come on down. You can deal with the paperwork next day. From the store, follow the Rendezvous signage directing you through the campground to the area where we will be. Cooper’s is a big place, about 800 acres, so it’ll be about 1/2 mile. Once down to the Rendezvous site you can set up pretty much anywhere you like. The camping fee in 2024 is $32/person/night, $10 nightly for kids (3 -17)

If you have a unit that requires electric hook-up (an additional $15/night), there are several of those kind of sites just across the pond (a 2 minute paddle away). Reservations for one of those sites is recommended, just to be sure. Contact Cooper’s directly and they’ll set you up. cooperslake.com 724-368-8710. Tell them you’re coming to the Rendezvous.

The google earth shot below will give you a good sense of the lay of the land – the Rendezvous has essentially all of the open area on the east side of the pond.

You may arrive any time from Friday AM on, but it’s OK to come a day or two early if you like. In any case, we must all depart by Sunday eve as the Campground needs to prepare for a massive Jeep festival the following weekend, and needs the decks clear.
